Going viral is usually a good thing in 2026. It means your posts are getting action. People are noticing you, finding you and, best of all, following you.

But, sometimes going viral happens for the wrong reasons. That appears to be the case with a play the Philadelphia Eagles have shared to social media involving quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Like many NFL teams, the Eagles are sharing choice clips from training camp. It's a way to get the fanbase pumped up for what's to come. At least, that's the hope. But, Philadelphia has shared a clip from practice that's getting attention for not the best reasons.

In the clip, posted by the Eagles on social media, Hurts drops back and throws a deep pass. That's great, but then, Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell comes away with the interception. So, Hurts threw a pick.

Now, Eagles fans are reacting to the quarterback throwing a pick in practice.

"I wouldn't be posting about your QB throwing an interception," one says on X.

"Posting a vid with of your franchise QB throwing a pick in slow motion in practice is CRAZY," another adds.

"Why would you post this? If you are going to post an interception get another angle. You have hosts on the flagship station that are going to push this narrative... If I was the coach, I would be livid," another says.

But, some commenters see the value in this clip. It shows that Mitchell is wicked.

"Bro it's literally one of the best corners in the game are y'all slow. Cool out on my quarterback," one says on Instagram.

So, it's a mixed bag and quite the controversy. The clip does show Mitchell at his best but set Hurts up for some unwarranted negative feedback. Hurts has won a Super Bowl for this franchise, though, so one little practice pick means nothing.
