One of the bigger storylines that surrounded the Philadelphia Eagles during the opening stages of the NFL's offseason was the future of their then-wide receiver, AJ Brown, who had been linked with a move away from the aforementioned team for some time. That move would come true in the days after the NFL Draft, with the three-time Pro Bowler being traded to the New England Patriots in exchange for two future draft picks.

This move would leave Philadelphia with a sizable hole to fill in their offensive structure, as well as a vacant jersey number, with Brown's signature 11 being free for the taking. It appears that someone has jumped on the open jersey number.

In a recent post on social media by the Eagles, the team announced that second-year linebacker Jihaad Campbell would be making the shift from his number 30 jersey last season to the aforementioned number 11 going forward.

While it might seem like the decision comes out of the blue, Campbell wore the number 11 jersey during his final season at the University of Alabama during the 2024-25 season. The trek between Campbell's numbers at the NFL level mirrors that of his time in the SEC, having started out with 30 before shifting to 11 later down the line.

It will be the first big change in what will be an important season for the New Jersey native, with his rookie season being a productive one in the City of Brotherly Love, having recorded 80 combined tackles across 17 appearances with the Eagles.
