Jan. 28—MITCHELL — For the second set of rankings in a row, the Dakota Wesleyan University women's basketball team is ranked at No. 9 in the NAIA coaches' top-25 poll, which was issued Wednesday.

It comes as the Tigers are 17-4 on the season and have won 11 games in a row, as DWU puts its 10-0 mark in home games on the line against No. 19 Briar Cliff on Wednesday night. The Chargers dropped three slots from No. 16 in this week's rankings.

Dordt remains the No. 1-ranked team in the NAIA with a 19-1 record, followed by No. 2 Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), No. 3 Bethel (Tenn.), No. 4 Campbellsville (Ky.) and No. 5 Marian (Ind.). Since the last poll, Freed-Hardeman lost to an unranked team on Jan. 15 but beat then-No. 3 Campbellsville and then-No. 2 Bethel, managing to move up three spots in this week's rankings and causing Bethel, Campbellsville and Marian to all slide one spot.

Dakota State is ranked No. 7 and Concordia (Neb.) is at No. 10, with both teams staying put from the last rankings two weeks ago. DWU beat Concordia on Jan. 18 to complete the season sweep. Dordt, DWU, Concordia and Briar Cliff are the four ranked GPAC teams in the top-25.

DWU has the nation's fifth-longest win streak in NAIA basketball. Evangel University, of Springfield, Missouri, has the longest win streak with 15 straight victories and a 16-1 overall record. Loyola (La.), LSU Shreveport and Hope International (Calif.) have all won 13 straight games and then DWU and Dordt both have 11 wins in a row.

In the NAIA men's poll, no Great Plains Athletic Conference teams are ranked for the second set of rankings in a row. Morningside is the top vote-getter among teams outside the top-25, while Northwestern is also in the receiving votes category.

Grace (Ind.) remains the No. 1 team with a 20-0 record, while No. 2 Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), No. 3 Oklahoma Wesleyan, No. 4 Ave Maria (Fla.) and No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan fill out the top of the coaches' poll.
