Oct. 1—MITCHELL — For the second time in as many weeks, Dakota Wesleyan University sophomore Allison Meyerink was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference women's golfer of the week by the league office on Sept. 30.
Meyerink, a native of Mitchell and the reigning GPAC player of the year, placed first at the Mount Marty Invitational on Sept. 22-23, climbing the leaderboard with an even-par second round to collect her third individual title of the year. She shot 5-over for the tournament. finishing with a 36-hole score of 149. Later in the week, Meyerink placed 13th at the 2025 Mustang Invitational on Sept. 27-28, in Marshall, Minnesota, against NCAA Division II and NAIA competition. She ended with a score of 155 (+11) through the two-day competition.
This week marked the fourth career GPAC weekly honor for Meyerink, who won the GPAC tournament individual title in the spring in her first collegiate season.
Meyerink and the Tigers are back in action on Oct. 6-7 for the 2025 Mustang Derby at Whispering Creek Golf Club in Sioux City, Iowa.
