As Tommy Lloyd and Dusty May get ready to face each other in the Arizona-Michigan Final Four game, significant buzz for the same job is swirling between both head coaches.

With the North Carolina opening at the top of many minds, will this come down to a two-man race after the dust settles in Indianapolis? UNC fired head coach Hubert Davis following a first round loss in the NCAA Tournament to VCU. He took over five years ago for the legendary Roy Williams, who decided to retire.

UNC has yet to hire a replacement and there's no real frontrunner to replace Davis.

Not to say many coaches have been part of the rumor mill. At first, Alabama's Nate Oats was linked to the job, but that has died down. However, there seems to be more weight behind Lloyd and May than others. There's no wonder why. UNC is considered to be the top job in college basketball.

Lloyd reportedly took a "recruiting pitch" phone call from UNC legend Michael Jordan over the weekend. While Arizona is headed to Indy, could his heart be in Chapel Hill? As for May, there have been many ties to the Tar Heels during this process. When it comes to resources, North Carolina would be able to beat out Michigan. May has worked his way up the ranks in college basketball and is showing what he can do on the biggest stage.

Either coach would be a good option at UNC. This will likely come down to who's willing to leave their current situation to take over a powerhouse. Right now, we won't know that answer until after this weekend.
