Duke and TCU both come into the second-round matchup between the two already winners of close games in the 2026 NCAA Tournament, but the two games couldn’t be any different.

The top-overall seed Blue Devils survived a valiant upset attempt at the hands of No. 16 Siena, trailing by as many as 13 points in the second half, before taking control late in a 71-65 victory. The Horned Frogs blew a 15-point halftime lead to Ohio State, needing a basket from Xavier Edmonds with four seconds left to defeat the Buckeyes, 66-64.

Jon Scheyer’s squad might see the return of starting center Patrick Ngongba, who has missed the last five games with a foot injury. Without him, the Blue Devils are down to a seven-man rotation, with Cameron Boozer filling in at the 5 some, while Cayden Boozer has stepped in nicely to the starting point guard role since Caleb Foster suffered a fractured foot in the regular-season finale against UNC.

Three TCU players, led by Micah Robinson’s 18 points, finished in double-digits in Thursday’s win over the Buckeyes, while Edmonds and David Punch put up 16 points apiece.
