One good thing about baseball is that when a tough loss happens, you don't have time to dwell on it because there's another game the very next day.

The Oregon Ducks baseball team is in that position right now as they suffered a tough 2-1 loss to USC in 11 innings in the first game of the last series of the regular season.

With the loss, Oregon slipped down to a fourth-place tie with Purdue, 18-10 in conference play. The Ducks can still finish in third place, but they'll have to defeat the Trojans tonight and Saturday afternoon. They'll want to finish on a strong note and have a high seed in next week's Big Ten tournament in Omaha, Neb.

But that all starts tonight for the Ducks as they try to move on from the tough Game 1 defeat. They were in the midst of a classic pitchers' duel and were down 1-0 for the majority of the contest. Oregon finally broke through, but it wasn't until the bottom of the ninth when Navilou Lauaki, Jr. sent one into the right field bullpen to tie the game.

Unfortunately, the Trojans prevailed in the 11th with a homer of their own, which was just enough for the win. Now the two teams get together for Game 2 of the series. The contest is set for a 6 pm PT first pitch, and it will be Big Ten Plus. Follow along with our live blog, analysis, and scores with all of the action from PK Park.
