MOSCOW – For four seasons, Kevin Vincent, Branden Fad and twins Aiden and Leland Wudarski helped energize the Holy Cross football program.
Their legacy includes bouncing back from a winless freshman year to nine wins in three seasons and a pair of Eastern Conference playoff games.
Now, the four will represent Holy Cross one final time while playing for their head coach, Joe Giorgio, on the City all-star team that will face the County in the 92nd Scranton Lions Club Dream Game.
The summer classic kicks off Wednesday at 7 p.m. at John Henzes/Veterans Memorial Stadium.
“It is an honor to be able to play for coach Giorgio and represent Holy Cross one last time,” Vincent said. “It is a school that has given so much to me. One last game is an honor. I have known coach Giorgio for about six years now, and to be able to play him one last time under his playbook is a real honor.”
All four were Lackawanna Football Conference Division III Coaches’ All-Stars during their careers.
The Wudarskis are household names at Holy Cross, and the Dream Game is bringing a close to their playing days.
Aiden, a shifty running back, fueled the Crusaders’ offense for three seasons. He led the team in rushing as a sophomore with 810 yards and seven touchdowns. He finished with 1,584 career yards rushing and 14 touchdowns and hauled in 15 passes for 133 yards.
“I am taking it all in,” Aiden said. “I am taking it day by day, and at the Dream Game it will be the final show for us. We have a relationship that is special in a different way. I don’t think I could build a relationship as strong as the one I have with my brother with anybody else.”
Leland, who served as a lead blocker at fullback, was a standout and physical linebacker. He used a bruising running style to gain 782 career yards and score nine touchdowns. He also caught 22 passes for 162 yards while being the heart of the team’s defense.
“This means the world to me,” Leland said. “My brother and I have a relationship that is not like anyone else. These last four years have been amazing. Having my brother by my side was great. When he needed to be lifted up, I would lift him up, and when I needed a lift up, he would lift me up. It was an amazing relationship that we had.”
Vincent, an All-Region and state-medal winner in track and field who will continue his career at Bucknell University, had an outstanding senior season. He ran for 621 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in 2025. In his four years, Vincent finished with 926 yards rushing with 13 touchdowns and added 28 receptions for 255 yards and five touchdowns.
He is inspired by the memory of his uncle, the late Matt Caputo, a former all-scholastic fullback/linebacker at Bishop O’Hara who played for the City in the 1987 Dream Game and died in a drowning accident in 1990.
“I am excited,” Vincent said. “My uncle Matt played in this game, and he was a really special guy. To be able to carry on that legacy is important to me. He was a running back at Bishop O’Hara. I was a running back at Holy Cross, so just to be able to have my family name in the game is special to me.”
While the Wudarskis and Vincent rang up statistics, Fadl supplied brute force on the line of scrimmage. The 6-foot-2, 310-pounder was a force on both sides of the ball and established himself as one of the top linemen in the LFC Division III.
“This is pretty awesome,” said Fadl. “Playing in the Dream Game is great. One thing that I realized is that even though some of these guys were against us in the season, they end up being your friends. I am pretty excited. This is going to be a fun game. We want to win this, so it will be serious come game time.”
The Holy Cross group, led by Giorgio, who has coached at Holy Cross for five seasons, is hoping to snap the County’s six-game winning streak in their final game together.
“This is really special,” Vincent said. “I am a North Pocono guy who went to Holy Cross. We have a brotherhood out here. Everyone is really excited, and we really want to break this streak.”
