Dream's Angel Reese has the exact opposite shooting form than what she should originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.

Angel Reese is not one of the WNBA's better shooters.

One of the reasons why? Her form isn't even close to how you'd teach it, and it hasn't changed positively since leaving the Chicago Sky for the Atlanta Dream.

Reese is left-handed, but that's not the problem. There can be great shooters with either handedness.

The problem, at least when you watch basic video of Reese shooting, is her feet.

Check out this footage of her working on her corner 3-point shot:

You may have noticed it, but if not: Reese is taking a step forward with her right foot as she lines up to shoot.

A shooting coach would never teach it like that.

Generally, a right-handed shooter would be the player moving their right foot a bit forward as they shoot, if they need that movement and timing mechanism.

A lefty shooter would do it with the left foot, if at all.

Doing it with the opposite side of the body creates an off-center feel from the very beginning of the shooting motion.

Reese doesn't have pristine mechanics up top, either, but she really has no chance once her feet do the wrong thing right from the beginning of the shot.
