Steph Curry could only watch from the bench as the Golden State Warriors absorbed a third straight defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves in their second-round series on Monday at Chase Center.
The Wolves beat the Warriors, 117-110, in Game 4 and are now just a win away from moving on to the conference finals for the second straight year.
Golden State could only hope that Curry, who's nursing a hamstring injury, would be fit enough to play in Game 5 on Wednesday. If he cannot, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler and Buddy Hield will have to deliver heroic performances to save their campaign.

The 35-year-old Green, in particular, is expected to lead the embattled Warriors on a psychological level. He, however, needs to keep his emotions in check as he's also passionate to a fault.
Recently, he issued a strong statement about "being sick" of a supposed "agenda" to paint him in a negative light after picking up a technical foul in Game 2. But when asked to clarify it on Monday, the veteran forward only gave a curt reply.
"I've moved on," said Green in the postgame conference, as posted by 95.7 The Game on X.
He tallied 14 points, seven rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes in Game 4. The Warriors kept the game close in the first half but failed to clamp down on the Timberwolves in the third quarter, which decided the game.
Green hasn't shied away from speaking his mind, but his brief response might indicate that he's more focused on trying to lead Golden State past Minnesota, especially without the 37-year-old Curry.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said they will give an update on the two-time MVP's status for Game 5 on game day.
