DOVER — The New Hampshire champion Dover 12-year-old all-star baseball team, fresh off a week in Cooperstown, New York, where it played seven games at Dreams Park, will begin play in the 2026 Cal Ripken World Series in Branson Missouri, beginning Friday, Aug. 7.

Dover head coach Mike Lynch believes the experience at Cooperstown will pay dividends at the World Series.

"We played some really good teams, saw some good competition and it was perfect prep for us going to the World Series," Lynch said. "Going from Cooperstown to Branson and the World Series is some of the best baseball experience you can get as a 12-year-old."

Dover. which hosted the New England Regional in July, received an at-large bid to compete in the World Series field.

"These are the best teams in the country coming to compete for a United States and World championship," Lynch said. "Every player on these teams is going to be a great player. Every pitcher will have a good fastball and quality off-speed pitches. It's going to be a level of competition they haven't seen before."

All games will be played at the Ballparks of America complex in Branson.

Friday, Aug. 7vs. Brandywine, Pennsylvania (Mid-Atlantic champion), 2 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 8vs. Andrews, Texas (Southwest champion), 7:45 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 9vs. SE Denver, Colorado (Midwest Plains qualifier), 7 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 10vs. Visalia, California (Pacific Southwest champion), 4:30 p.m.

Results of pool play will determine schedule for rest of the tournament, which runs through Aug. 16.
