I wish him the best of luck. He was one of my favorite players. I always root for the underdog. He had some good games but the last two years he has not had much production.

It was wild to me he started the first game or two over a healthy Michael Wilson. Dortch didn’t seem to have much this year, but I’ve liked him in prior years. It was wild for a while when we’d trot our Rondale Moore, Kyler, and Dortch - that had to get some weird looks among defenders to have 3 guys under 5’9” out there on an NFL offense.

I met some of his family his rookie year. They were super proud of him and a bit shocked that I knew who he was, given we were on the East Coast. I wish him well in Detroit.

He was a good dependable player. When the ball was thrown to him, he seemed to always catch it. Good reliable clutch player. Never fumbled.
