Maybe everyone should just bring a plain white piece of cardboard to the game and wave it around like a SURRENDER FLAG. There are so many things wrong with this team that it's hopeless. I mean...

• a half-game lead on a real team like the Dodgers will evaporate like a puddle on an Arizona summer day
• they will be swept, at home, to the Braves
• the Dodgers have Manny
• Bob Melvin is a moron
• the only way this team sells a game out is if half the people are fans of the other team
• they sold the farm to get one player (Haren)
• the bullpen is a gas station
• Hudson likely played his last game as a D-back
• Grace and Sutton are babbling jesters
• Carlos Quentin, Carlos Quentin, Carlos Quentin
• Byrnes is still getting a hefty paycheck for doing nothing but his TV show
• Chris Young is a total bust
• Bob Melvin is still a moron

That's just skimming the surface. Now more then ever is the best opportunity to jump off the D-bandwagon. The door is wide open and it's just so much better on the other side. Tempting, isn't it?

Its not looking good right now. Especially with the Hudson injury. I don't know. I will always be a D-Back fan, but now as for the division, it will be tough to win it.

Last season Augie Ojeda did a very good job covering for Hudson, both at bat and in the field.

We'll miss Orlando. But, that in itself, may not have a huge bearing on the outcome of this season.

At least, Melvin won't bat Augie in the 3-spot in the batting order . . . I hope.

Leaving the heart of the batting order to Jackson, Tracy, Reynolds and Young . . . I hope.

But, with Bob Brelvin (Brenly-Melvin) managing you never know.

i dont think this season is over. i think we are going to get a rejuvenated Upton and Scherzer back. Hopefully Salazar comes up big like he did down the stretch last seaon...

Augie Ojeda has been very productive for us. Hopefully Chris Burke gets sent down or cut.

If we can get a little hot streak out of Chris Young with everyone else playing about what they have this season, I think this team has a shot at the playoffs. Throw in a few hot weeks from Mark Reynolds and its KO to the Dodgers. This should be our lineup...

3B-Reynolds (sick of seeing Tracy here, Reynolds produces with men on.. its a fact.)
1B-Tracy (Gives Reynolds protection with a high average, low power hitter behind)

2B- Ojeda (like him batting second sometimes, but he is patient enough to take the free base with the pitcher spot behind him)

I am surprised there are people in this thread and the Braves thread that think the season is over. Jumping off the bandwagon when the team is in first? I know the team has not played well but they play in the NL West, a division they can win. Oh well, I guess it's football season for you guys now.
