Knicks fan Donald Trump might get to see Oklahoma City play in the NBA finals.

The president, who was once a resident of New York City, is considering making an appearance at Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks play for the NBA championship. Trump has recently said he's been following the Knicks and remains a fan of the team.

Trump has frequently appeared in the stands of major sporting events including the Super Bowl, the Daytona 500 and the U.S. Open men’s final. In 2023, he visited Oklahoma for that year's NCAA wrestling championship bouts.

The speculation about his appearance at the NBA finals was initially reported by the New York Times.

The Knicks clinched their finals bid on Monday. They will play either Oklahoma City or San Antonio in the NBA Finals. As of Thursday, OKC leads Western Conference Finals series 3-2 and needs to win just one more game to advance.

Game 6 of the Thunder-Spurs series is Thursday, while an if-necessary Game 7 would be Saturday. The finals are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 3.
