With the college and NFL seasons wrapped up, it is fully mock draft season ahead of the 2026 NFL draft. There continues to be no shortage of opinions on where players who won the national championship, to teams who finished 1-11, are going. The Florida State Seminoles will look to be a school that puts more players in the NFL draft, given their track record of being a consistent school in terms of draftable players; they have 304 selections as of the conclusion of the 2025 NFL draft.

In 2025, cornerback Azareye'h Thomas was selected 73rd overall by the New York Jets, and defensive tackle Joshua Farmer was picked up by the New England Patriots at number 137.

This year, CBS Sports predicts a Seminole to go in the early third round, and that is Darrell Jackson Jr. The defensive lineman is projected to land at No. 69 with the Houston Texans, given that free agency has patched some holes in some of the teams around the league.

On his Instagram, Darrell spoke of the bond he had with his teammates at Florida State, saying, "Some of my best memories aren't even from the field. They're from the brotherhood, the laughs, the long nights of film study, the moments when we picked each other up during tough times. Those bonds don't fade. They become part of who you are forever."

Jackson spent three seasons with the Seminoles and made 25 starts. He recorded 80 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. He made the All-ACC Honorable Mention team after both seasons.
