Former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Michael Conforto is visiting Dodger Stadium this weekend with his new team, the Chicago Cubs.
The Dodgers honored Conforto on Friday night by presenting him a World Series ring for his contributions to the 2025 championship season.
“Opening it, putting it on — one of the coolest moments in my baseball career, for sure,” Conforto said, per AP. “Right up there with dogpiling after Game 7.”

The Cubs entered Saturday night’s game with a 10-game winning streak. But the Dodgers put an end to that with a 12-4 triumph. As the game wound down, the Los Angeles dugout had a little fun at Conforto’s expense.
As shared by Foul Territory on X, the Dodgers tried to get Conforto to perform their on-base celebration after he singled in the seventh inning.
Conforto ignored the request, chatting instead with Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman.
The 2025 season was frustrating for the 33-year-old Conforto. Playing on a one-year, $17 million deal, Conforto batted a career-worst .199 and struck out 121 times. Consequently, he did not make Los Angeles’ postseason roster.
Still, the Dodgers credited him for being a positive presence in the clubhouse throughout the season. Freeman, Will Smith, **** Hernandez and Tommy Edman greeted Conforto when he received the World Series ring.

“I know he didn’t perform the way that people would have liked and he would have liked, but I loved him on the team. I loved what he brought to the Dodgers,” manager Dave Roberts said.
Conforto signed a minor-league deal with Cubs in the offseason and is making $2 million. He is enjoying more success in a backup role, batting .333 with a .927 OPS in 32 plate appearances.
Finally, both teams are enjoying strong starts to the 2026 season. The Dodgers are 18-9 and trail the San Diego Padres by a half-game in the NL West. The Cubs are 17-10, one game behind the Cincinnati Reds in the NL Central.
