One day after clowning the Toronto Blue Jays in a rematch of the World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers again defeated the Jays, though this game was much closer at 4-1.

Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, Alex Freeland and Kyle Tucker drove in runs, two of which were scored by the recently called-up Hyeseong Kim and two by Freeland.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw six-plus innings to get the win, striking out six batters against five hits, one walk and one earned run.

Reliever Alex Vesia took over for Yamamoto and with two men on, loaded the bases with no outs. He then retired the next three batters and protected the Dodgers’ lead.

He comes in with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, with a runner on 1st and 3rd.

He gives up a full count walk and then gets three clutch outs.
