The Los Angeles Dodgers got a little taller overnight.
They've claimed right-handed pitcher Grant Holman off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
And one of the first things you notice about Holman is his height. He's 6-foot-6.

Holman is 25 years old and was originally a sixth-round pick by the Oakland Athletics in the 2021 MLB Draft out of Cal.
He first made it to the majors with the A's in 2024 and had a 4.02 ERA in 18 games.
His ERA with the Athletics in 2025 was 5.09 in 22 games.
For his MLB career, Holman has struck out 7.7 batters per nine innings but walked 4.2 batters per nine innings. Those are ratios the Dodgers will want to find a way to get him to improve upon.
This spring, Holman made just one outing for the Diamondbacks and gave up just a walk in a scoreless inning of work.
He likely slots in as organizational depth for the Dodgers rather than as a player who comes directly to the MLB roster. But given Holman's size and relative youth, he has the chance to continue to develop if the Dodgers give him the right things to work on.
