Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Charles Davalan wrapped up a remarkable week at the plate by delivering another standout performance for High-A Great Lakes on Sunday.
The Dodgers' eighth-ranked prospect finished 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs in Great Lakes' 8-7 loss to the Lansing Lugnuts, extending a stretch in which he consistently produced at the top of the lineup.
The outing also marked his second consecutive game with a home run, adding another highlight to what has become one of the best offensive weeks of his season.
Despite the loss, Davalan remained the catalyst for Great Lakes' offense, contributing in multiple ways throughout the afternoon.
Davalan wasted little time making an impact, delivering an RBI triple during the second inning to give Great Lakes an early advantage. After racing around the bases, he later crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly to increase the club's early momentum.
His power showed up again in the fourth inning when he connected on a pitch and drove it over the right-field wall for his 16th home run of the season. The blast temporarily extended Great Lakes' lead before Lansing answered with a big inning to swing the game in its favor.
Even after the momentum shifted, Davalan continued to produce. In the sixth inning, he lined a two-out single into center field to score another run, bringing his RBI total to three on the day and helping keep Great Lakes within striking distance.
Sunday's performance completed an exceptional six-game stretch in which Davalan collected at least two hits in every appearance. Over the course of the week, he posted a .481 batting average while reaching base at a .517 clip and slugging an impressive 1.037.
His 13-hit week featured eight extra-base hits, including three home runs, while he also drove in nine runs and scored eight times. The sustained production reflects the confidence he has shown since settling into his first full professional season.
Selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, Davalan has quickly developed into one of the Dodgers' most productive minor-league hitters. His balanced offensive profile has paired consistent contact with emerging power, making him a key contributor in the Great Lakes lineup throughout 2026.
Following his latest hot streak, the 22-year-old owns a .918 OPS through 84 games, further solidifying his breakout campaign. As he continues to produce against High-A pitching, Davalan is strengthening his standing among the organization's top prospects and positioning himself for continued advancement through the Dodgers' farm system.
