DeShon Elliott apparently didn't get the memo that the Pittsburgh Steelers wouldn't be tackling during training camp, but DK Metcalf hilariously reminded him on social media following a late hit he took at practice.
During Thursday's practice session, Elliott laid the boom on Metcalf and immediately attempted to apologize. Well, Metcalf has since taken to social media to make light of the situation while also trolling Elliott about what's to come.
“Count [your] days,” Metcalf wrote to Elliott via an Instagram story.
The big hit, while a complete accident, highlights what Steelers fans have come to love about Elliott over the past several seasons: his ferocity. One of the best-tackling safeties in the league, Elliott is aiming to bounce back in 2026 after dealing with multiple injuries last season. But let's hope he saves the hit stick for opposing teams moving forward.
