The New York Rangers stood firm on their asking price.

Did Vincent Trocheck get traded?
No, Vincent Trocheck was not traded before Friday's 3 p.m. ET NHL trade deadline.
Late rumors didn't come to fruition, and he stayed put.
Why didn't the Rangers trade Vincent Trocheck?
No one matched New York's asking price, and they weren't pressured to make a move.
Trocheck is under contract through the 2028-29 season, which means he has three seasons still to play with the Rangers after this one.
He can turn into a veteran leader for a team New York is hoping to make younger and more promising by the time next season rolls around.
Trocheck could've fetched the Rangers some nice assets, but he could always be traded next year at this time with still a couple years on his contract if New York doesn't turn things around in the meantime.
