Did Trevor Lawrence cut his signature golden locks, as featured in the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2026 schedule release video which was unveiled on Thursday, May 14?
While we're pretty sure it's unlikely, until Lawrence steps in front of a camera, no one really knows.
The last time we can confirm Lawrence had his long hair was April 25 when the Times-Union attended a charity event held by Lawrence and his wife Marissa.
Pictures confirm he had long hair then.
Trevor Lawrence approaches a barber’s chair, sits down, and a pair of scissors start clipping his hair. As they show the locks flutter to the ground like gentle snowflakes, we eventually see Lawrence looking unrecognizable. As the barber swept away the hair on the floor, the schedule was revealed.
RYAN O'HALLORAN: Predicting what will be said after every Jaguars game
Here's where you begin to question it. First, would they really just sweep up and discard the most famous hair in the NFL? They could have collected it, put it into tiny glass bottles with corks on the top, and sold them for a hundred bucks a pop to benefit his and his wife's charity. You know people would buy it.
Next, the Jaguars had a tell: Their social media team tweeted: "AI could never."
Couldn't it?
Fans also pointed out inconsistencies with the back of his hairline.
Sort of.
NFL insider Adam Schefter on Friday said he confirmed with sources that the haircut was fake.
Appearing on ESPN's Get Up, Schefter said: "He didn't get a haircut. I checked into it. I'm like, 'Did he get his haircut?' I checked with a guy. No."
What guy? Trevor himself?
Unless we hear it, or see it, from Lawrence, doubt will persist.
Lawrence has been known for his flowing blonde hair since he was a freshman at Clemson.
The Heisman Trophy finalist was often compared to the character Ronnie "Sunshine" Bass from "Remember the Titans."
Following three years in college, he was drafted No. 1 by the Jaguars, and has been known for his flowing hair for five seasons as the face of the franchise.
One day Lawrence will really cut his hair. One day. But it hasn't happened yet. Don't believe everything you see.
