Did Titans do enough to help Cam Ward this offseason?

The 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and now teams can fully turn their attention to offseason activities and preparing for training camp.

The Tennessee Titans are no different, as their new-look roster starts hitting the field, including this weekend's rookie minicamp. But how did they do with their offseason goal of building around their young franchise quarterback, Cam Ward? Jared Dubin of CBS Sports took a look and broke down how the Titans helped their young signal caller.

Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward

Tennessee went to work on both sides of the ball, possessing more spending power and draft capital than almost anyone. The Titans lavished Wan'Dale Robinson with a huge contract in free agency to be Ward's slot receiver, then used the No. 4 pick on Carnell Tate to be his top option on the outside. They signed center Austin Schlottman and guard Cordell Volson in free agency, then drafted center Pat Coogan and guard Fernando Carmona on Day 3. They signed Daniel Bellinger and Kylen Granson after tight end Chig Okonkwo left in free agency. They brought in Michael Carter and drafted Nick Singleton at running back. How well any of this works is anyone's guess, but the Titans did use a lot of resources on trying to upgrade the environment around Ward, who was left out to dry for much of his rookie season. Still, they probably need more help along the offensive line.

Dubin is spot on, there are some unanswered questions along their offensive line, and those must be answered before Ward can take the next step in his development. The additions of Robinson and Tate, along with restructuring Calvin Ridley, were significant, but Ward doesn’t have to thrown it won’t matter who his receivers are.
