Am I missing something here? Buddying up with Kyler? I'm so depressed with the Cardinals right now I haven't read many articles or listened to podcasts of theirs. So Kyler & Gannon will probably stay?
I think people are reading WAY too much into Gannon's comments on Murray at his Friday press conference.
Gannon was asked Friday about how Murray has dealt with the year went. [sic] "He's a pro too," Gannon said. "I know he's probably not happy how the season went with his health. He'll come back better than ever."
Meh, seems like a nothingburger to me. In his answer to the followup question, he even shifts his response from Murray to "guys who aren't playing".

For me it all depends on how he evolves and grows.

when you hire a first time HC there are growing pains. dude has to learn the job...but then he has to evaluate and adapt...and sometimes a guy has to learn to do things he finds distasteful or that go against his code...some guys can make the adjustments and others cant.
but in hiring a new guy we at least have to give him the opportunity to make those adjustments.....otherwise we should never hire a first time HC
I have to agree with you to a degree. Counterpoint is easily found in our own division where every other HC were rookie HCs and all are crushing it. The entire NFC north and D Ryans and......

I agree change for change sake is typically Counterpoint productive but Wilkes obviously needed to go and KK was given plenty of time. IDK anything except the Cards have become a cancer in my life.

It’s not change for change’s sake. It’s firing someone who is bad at the job.

Can someone tell me who are our actual starters (or were supposed to be the starters) that are injured and not playing, or haven't played because of the injuries?

And yet the offense actually looked much better than Gannon’s defense.

In this game?

QB Kyler Murray. Mid
RB James Conner. Washed before injured
WR Marvin Harrison Jr. Mid
TE Tip Reiman has like 50 career receiving yards
RT Jonah Williams. Washed
LG Evan Brown. Sucks
LT Paris Johnson Jr. Actually good

ILB Mack Wilson Sr. Replacement level
NB Garrett Williams. Good

Two good players. Two mid players. The rest have no business starting.
