Yet another $1 million+ coordinator on the way. This will be my last comment on this matter. Your welcome.

That would be Rod Marinelli their DL/Asst HC. Many teams have sought his services. Tampa Bay has denied teams including Indianapolis and NY Jets, from talking to him. However, Marienelli has only 1 year left on his contract with Tampa Bay. I think it is safe to say this is his last season with Tampa Bay as I believe I recall reading something the other day where he didn't seem to pleased with being denied the opportunity to be a defensive coordinator elsewhere.

It was not Rod Marinelli like I guessed it was.

Partially true Jo ... actually you have to ask permission to hire somebody from another team's staff (if he is still under contract) regardless if its a lateral hire or even a promotion.

This was changed a few years ago because teams would make lateral hires (like a DC to stay a DC) and then add a title like consultant or Assistant coach to circumvent the system (which the NFL didn't like and then made the change as a result). Hence why hiring certain coaches (especially if the team doesn't want the person to leave) can be extremely difficult to do now.
