HIGHLIGHTS
- A former WBC heavyweight champion faces a retiring fan favorite in a fight billed as "100" for the combined professional fights between both men.
- The co-feature has turned into an IBF world title eliminator after a champion was stripped, giving the card legitimate title implications beyond the main event.
- The former champion recently signed his first promotional deal and could be in line for a much bigger fight if he delivers a dominant performance in London.
Deontay Wilder vs. Dereck Chisora is one of the more intriguing heavyweight fights on the upcoming boxing schedule. While it's not likely one that will lead to a title opportunity for either man, it does figure to be explosive and entertaining. For Chisora, this will be his last fight, and you can bet he will want to go out with a bang.
For Wilder, he still has plans to make big things happen with a potentially big fight against anyone from Francis Ngannou and Jake Paul to Anthony Joshua. He's got to beat Chisora and look decent in the process. Here's everything you need to know about the card and the event.

When and How to Watch

What's at Stake for Wilder?
At one point, Wilder signing with Misfits would have seemed like a step backward. At this stage of his career, it was the right move as his success could help catapult both into the major heavyweight picture. I spoke with former reality TV star and reigning Misfits heavyweight champion, Chase DeMoor weeks ago.
He would seemingly love to have a shot at Wilder in what would be a big payday for both men. If Wilder beats Chisora and doesn’t immediately get a huge offer against a more established fighter, don’t be surprised to see DeMoor’s name come up. He’s clearly down for just about any challenge in the ring.
Wilder went 1-4 from 2020 to 2024 after starting 42-0-1 as WBC heavyweight champion. A dominant win keeps doors open.
Why Is Chisora's Farewell Meaningful?
Despite his 13 pro losses, Chisora has been a true warrior of the sport. He is rarely in a dull fight and that makes this farewell worthy of attention.
This is Chisora's 50th fight. He told Queensberry: "I am not coming back. I don't have any more training camps in me." At 42, going out at The O2 against a former world champion is the exit his career deserves.
What Else Should You Watch on This Card?
Bentley-Saavedra is the one to watch on the undercard. The winner could find themselves fighting for a world title before the end of the year.
The two men will battle for the WBO interim middleweight title. The co-feature is also significant: Viddal Riley challenges Mateusz Masternak (50-6, 33 KOs) for the European cruiserweight title in a confirmed IBF world title eliminator after Jai Opetaia was stripped on March 7.
