Former Washington Huskies wide receiver Denzel Boston is one of the most popular prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, and with less than two weeks to go before the selection process begins, he's made the rounds for top 30 visits with several teams.
After recent trips to see the Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers, Boston is up to eight visits ahead of the draft, with the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Commanders all among the organizations that have also brought him in for a closer look.
Boston has routinely been projected to be taken in the back half of the first round in most mock drafts, behind Ohio State's Carnell Tate, USC's Mekhi Lemon, and Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson, and his visit to Baltimore suggests his stock could be rising. With the biggest question around Tyson being his injury history, if some teams medically flag him, it could help vault the 6-foot-4 pass catcher from Emerald Ridge High School up boards.
Baltimore, which holds the No. 14 overall pick, may be the ceiling of the realistic range for Boston's services as it hunts for some more pass catchers to place around two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson. Adding Boston, who NBC Sports' Chris Simms ranked as the No. 1 receiver in the class, to a unit that is headlined by All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews and Pro Bowl receiver Zay Flowers would give Baltimore the weapons it needs in the passing game.
"There's just so much to like about the guy in general," Simms said on Chris Simms Unbuttoned. "All the contested catches and all that, you're going to feel comfortable with. He's phenomenal at adjusting his body, contorting his body...he's got great hands to go up and pluck the ball out of the air. The other thing is he's got incredible route running skills, and I think you can build around that."
"His ability to cut and make breaks and accelerate out of the breaks is really special for someone who's 6-foot-4 and 212 pounds. He's got great feet that way, and then he understands the nuances of route running, too. He knows how to lean people, he knows how to attack leverage and do that, and that's really what's special. His top speed is gonna be maybe the only question about him, but there's enough there. He's pretty good after the catch, he's amazing, and this is where his hands come in, at catching the ball and turning up the field all in one swoop."
While No. 14 overall may be the ceiling for Boston's services, pick No. 31 with the New England Patriots, who haven't had the former Husky star in for a visit just yet, may be the floor as he continues to be viewed as a consensus first-round pick.
