Declan Rice could finally declare it was 'done' after Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions.

The England midfielder infamously stated that the title race was not over following the Gunners' gut-wrenching defeat to Manchester City earlier this season.

Taking to Instagram moments after Arsenal were confirmed as champions, he shared a photo alongside teammates Kai Havertz, Eberechi Eze, William Saliba, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Bukayo Saka, via The Mirror.

Rice's post was accompanied by the caption: "I told you all.. it's done," with red heart and trophy emojis. The post references the viral moment where he was overheard telling Martin Odegaard 'it's not done' just seconds after Arsenal's loss to Man City, which had appeared to hand Pep Guardiola's side the upper hand in the title race.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was among those to praise Rice's remarks. Speaking at the time, he said: "It's not done, and we are more confident that we're going to do it.

"That was the feeling that, probably without them expressing it in the dressing room, I felt immediately, and that was very powerful."

Ultimately, Arsenal were confirmed as champions with one game still to play.

Monday's 1-0 victory over Burnley pushed them to the brink of the title, with City's draw against AFC Bournemouth sealing their first championship in 22 years.

Rice wasn't the sole voice expressing emotion on Tuesday. Arsenal manager Arteta declared: "We made history again together, I cannot be happier and prouder for everybody that is involved in this football club. Let's enjoy the moment."

Additionally, former manager Arsene Wenger appeared in a touching montage shared on the official Arsenal account.

The legendary Frenchman remarked: "You did it. Champions go on when others stop. This is your time. Now, go on and enjoy every moment."

Arsenal will lift the famous trophy on the season's closing day versus Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. They will subsequently shift focus toward the UEFA Champions League final, where they could achieve greatness with an impressive double.

The North London team will face French powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain in the showpiece in Budapest in less than two weeks' time.
