David Pastrnak Believes Bruins Top Line Still Need To 'Find Our Game' originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Boston Bruins star forward David Pastrnak believes the team is starting to find its groove before the playoffs.
Pastrnak was reunited with Morgan Geekie and Hampus Lindholm on the top line, and it led to Geekie recording a hat trick. Although the line had success, Pastrnak believes they still have a bit to go to find their game.
“The chemistry is there, we know that,” Pastrnak said after practice on Friday. “We just need to take it step by step, and hopefully we find our game. Last game was much better, even the game in Philly, I thought we created a lot. We know each other, so I think the chemistry is there.”
Pastrnak knows his line is key to the Bruins success in the playoffs, as Boston can clinch a playoff berth on Saturday with a win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
In the Bruins' win, Geekie recorded a hat trick, which gives the star forward some confidence ahead of the playoffs.
“It was obviously a little while,” Geekie said. “It is nice to see one go in, and you’re never going to say no. Just try to keep putting myself in those spots and continue to allow myself to play on both sides of the puck.”
The Bruins enter play on Saturday with a record of 43-26-10.
