He responded to a draft question with, “Goodness, a draft question after nine games. Smh. We have a million miles to go.” I’m the one shaking my head. Last week the Cards knew they had to virtually sweep their remaining games to be a playoff factor; they responded with a historic (or maybe a hysterical) performance. It seems to me virtually every Cardinal should be playing for their job. Not only is watching college football more enjoyable than Cards’ games, but hopefully much of the potential improvement lies there. I know it’s self serving, but if this team is working even a 5 year plan, the upcoming draft has to be part of that solution. Chiding a person for opening the issue is equivalent to burying one’s head in the sand.

more importantly;

The team benched their franchise QB in favor of the 32 year-old backup.

A prominent NFL insider reported the team and K1 were/ will discuss the divorce after the season

Why wouldn't fans be interested in the draft?

Thing Is if we go with a rookie quarterback Gannon needs to be gone and go with a quarterback whisperer….how about an o lineman in the first then trade up to the bottom of round 1 for sorsby? Could he be this years Jaxon dart?

For us Cardinal fans this is time of the year when we usually start paying more attention to the draft. Harry, that is why we all appreciate your insights on the top college prospects. Sad but after 30 years it is reality. :mad:
This is extremely early for draft talk actually

Ironically, most teams aren't chock full of first round OL picks. Most lines are built with possibly 1 or 2 top picks, and the rest are middle to lower round picks. Did a breakdown a while ago and it was revealing and somewhat surprising, but I guess it makes sense that you couldn't fund an offensive line of all top picks and chemistry rates above talent at that point.
