Dallas track and field athlete Harlow Nelson is the winner of the Maps Credit Union high school girls Athlete of the Week, as voted by Statesman Journal readers.

A sophomore, Nelson placed fourth in the Class 5A 100 in 12.27 and third in the 200 in 25.22 May 30 at the OSAA state championships.
Nelson received 69.25% of the reader poll votes. Cascade track and field athlete Makenna Burns was second (27.39%).
Here are the other nominees.
Bishop, a junior, pitched a full seven innings and struck out nine batters in the Rams' 9-1 win over Weston-McEwen June 2 in the OSAA 2A/1A state semifinals.
Burns, a junior, placed third in the Class 4A 100-meter hurdles in 15.89 seconds and sixth in the 300 hurdles in 48.12 May 30 at the OSAA state championships.
Ehrens, a junior, won the Class 5A shot put with a 37-foot, 7 1/4-inch throw May 30 at the OSAA state championships.
Foster, a senior, posted two hits and three RBIs June 2 in the Rams' 9-1 win over Weston-McEwen in the OSAA 2A/1A state semifinals.
Miller, a junior, placed fourth in the Class 6A shot put with a 36-1 1/4 toss and sixth in discus (109-6) May 30 at the OSAA state championships.
