New Cowboys DC Christian Parker has relieved three coaches of their duties.

New Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker has begun the process of reshaping the defensive staff in his image by relieving defensive passing game coordinator Andre Curtis, secondary coach David Overstreet and linebackers coach Dave Borgonzi of their duties. per sources.

Parker, 34, the former Philadelphia Eagles defensive passing game coordinator, was hired last week to replace the fired Matt Eberflus.

Eberflus brought in Curtis, Overstreet and Borzoni as his top lieutenants when he joined head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s initial staff.

The status of defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton is still to be determined. Whitecotton was one of nine initial interviews for the Cowboys defensive coordiantor job before Schottenheimer settled on Curtis.

The Tennessee Titans have requested to interview Whitecotton for their open defensive coordinator position.

The Cowboys are also already looking at a possible replacement or alternative. They interviews Vikings assistant defensive line coach Marcus Dixon. Dixon, 41, has been with the Vikings since 2024. He worked with Parker for two years when both were with the Denver Bronocs.

Parker and the Cowboys have also interviewed Eagles assistant linebackers coach Ronell Williams,

Williams joined the Eagles in 2023, coaching the team’s nickel cornerbacks and then graduating to his assistant LB/defensive quality control role for 2024.
