Crymble and Saunders both failed to finish their respective finals [Getty Images]
Hannah Crymble and Katilin Saunders both failed to finish their respective women's weightlifting finals at the SEC Armadillo.
Crymble, who was competing in her second Games, did not place in the women's 63kg final on Tuesday while Saunders on her Commonwealth debut in Glasgow did not finish the women's 77kg final on Wednesday.
Crymble, 30 was unable to lift 84kg in the snatch as she exited the competition before the clean and jerk phase.
Saunders, a former gymnast and CrossFit athlete successfully lifted 82kg with her first snatch attempt before failing in her next two attempts at 85kg.
In the clean and jerk, she was unable to lift 106kg in her three efforts as she bowed out of the competition.
