Cristiano Ronaldo is now set to be coached by one of the most talked-about Premier League managers in recent years after the World Cup is over.
Quite what becomes of Ronaldo with Portugal remains to be seen. There have been suggestions, after all, that the 41-year-old could retire from international football once the tournament is finished.
All of that is unclear as things stand but what is for certain is that Ronaldo will link up with a certain Ange Postecoglou at Al-Nassr next season.
Portugal manager Roberto Martinez, who is attempting to coach his team to win a first World Cup in their history, had been linked with the role as he leaving his post whenever their campaign for glory comes to an end.
Postecoglou to coach Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
The 60-year-old has not coached since he was sacked by Nottingham Forest following an ill-fated eight-game tenure that came to an unhappy end in October 2025.
Still, Postecoglou did win the Europa League with Tottenham to add to his list of trophies before that, ending their long trophy drought.
Al Nassr has confirmed that Postecoglou has signed a two-year contract to coach the Saudi Arabian champions, replacing Jorge Jesus in charge.
Ronaldo is still under contract with the Saudi club until the summer of 2027.
Postecoglou has been working as a pundit during the World Cup on British television, too.

Postecoglou has a proven track record of delivering trophies at almost every club he has ever managed. Much was made about his promise to win things in his second season with Spurs and while it seemed unlikely at times, that prediction came true.
