Creighton 14th in women's elimination race

Northern Ireland's Erin Creighton has finished in 14th place in the women's elimination race at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Ester Wong was eliminated third and was classified as 21st, while Emma Jeffers did not start the race.

The race was won by Alyssa Polites, ahead of Australian team-mate Georgia Baker and Canada's Maggie Coles-Lyster.

Creighton's elimination brings Northern Ireland's Commonwealth Games to a close.

Northern Ireland end the Games with 16 medals, the second best behind a haul of 18 medals from the previous Commonwealths in Birmingham four years ago.

Earlier on Sunday, Chris Burns finished in sixth place in the men's C1-C3 3000m Individual pursuit qualifying, while Matti Dobbins was 12th in his heat in the qualifying round for the men's 40km points race.
