Crawley Town have begun the new year by signing midfielder Taylor Richards and defender Theo Vassell on six-month contracts.
Richards, 25, began his career at Manchester City's academy before moving on to Brighton, but has been a free agent since being released by Queens Park Rangers in September.
His most recent senior match action came almost exactly a year ago during a loan spell with Cambridge United.
Vassell, 28, scored six goals in 39 appearances for Barrow last season but has been without a club since leaving Holker Street at the end of the campaign.
Both players were signed in time to be available for Crawley's game away to Barnet on Thursday.
