Regarding the report already floating out there, I’m told by multiple people that the #Yotes have been and are actively trying to sign Antti Raanta to an extension. Not sure on figures, but those reported could be within the ballpark.

Another impressive win last night! What an incredible turn-around. Hard not to get excited about next season!!

I hardly ever post in here but I am a die hard Yotes fan. I am looking towards 2018/19 with a skeptical eye. It ALL hinges on the offer to Raanta.

Going by current NHL goalie salaries, it is a mid-level offer. Middle of the pack.

That damn ownership group better figure out real quick how much Raanta means to the success of this team. Being a lower market team they are going to HAVE to overpay him.

I have no insider info but my gut tells me that if they were serious than that offer has to jump to 6-7 mill per year.

I agree Brian... I heard Chayka on with Doug & Wolf this morning. They of course asked him about the Raanta negotiations... and man, Chayka was not giving out the warm & fuzzies. He did state that he believes the conversations have been "productive," however, he barely uttered anything positive about Raanta and his incredible performance since he's joined the team. I know he has to do that... it's all part of the game. But I gotta say, I didn't feel like a deal will get done anytime soon... if at all!

League source says there will be no supplemental discipline or fine for Flames forward Michael Frolik after his hit/tripping penalty on Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun on Tuesday.
