Cowboys Headlines: Pickens reps shut down interview, more WR news

The Cowboys put the finishing touches on OTAs this week and barrel towards the circus that awaits them next week at mandatory minicamp. They've now completed the voluntary attendance events and are moving on to required compliance. Receiver George Pickens, who spent the week conducting a youth camp in South Texas, was asked if he would be attending, but remained non-committal before his agency stepped in to shut down the questions.

The coaches have been putting in a ton of work with the players who have been in attendance, but it was revealed that the staff might've had a different look. Former Cowboys quarterback Will Grier had a job offer to join the clipboard crew before heading back to Carolina for an opportunity to make their 53-man roster.

In front office news, Cowboys chief brand officer Charlotte Jones expressed her excitement about not only Season 3 of the Netflix series "America's Sweethearts," starring the Dallas cheerleaders, but also for the growing women's flag football movement throughout the state of Texas.

Around the NFL, the Broncos gave head coach Sean Payton a five-year extension just a handful of years after trading a bundle of draft picks for the former Saints leading man. Former Raiders wideout Henry Ruggs was denied parole five years after his involvement in a fatal car accident while Rams starting lineman Alaric Jackson awaits his fate after a domestic violence incident.
