Training camp is in full swing for the Dallas Cowboys, and while the pads haven't come out yet, several players are already making waves.
We have the usual suspects in CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and DeMarvion Overshown, but the rookie class is where much of the attention has been.
First-round picks Caleb Downs and Malachi Lawrence are the two who garner the most attention in Oxnard, and rightly so.
Both have had a good start to camp as they get their feet wet in Christian Parker's system.

And for owner Jerry Jones, who spoke exclusively with our own Mike Fisher in his first 1-on-1 interview at camp, he noticed Downs making a nuisance of himself on the field.
"You noticed him creating some irritation when he was knocking those balls out," Jerry said, adding a double-entendre nugget. "I just hope that the (Week 1 opponent) Giants are that irritated when he's knocking their balls out."
Then there is Lawrence.
Seen by some as one who can give the Cowboys some serious pass rush help as the Maxx Crosby trade idea still looms over the franchise.
But maybe a deal for Maxx might not need to happen, as Lawrence has been living in the backfield in the early portion of camp.
And Jerry has noticed a little zip from the first-rounder from Ohio State.
"We let him go ahead and finish the play, but he made a nice sack out there if we really [had] been live," Jerry added. "So, yeah, we're pleased those guys today, had a little zip to them."

But while Downs and Lawrence are both making positive strides, the big winner from Saturday's practice was Jaishawn Barham.
The third-round pick from Michigan was a constant thorn in the side of the offense, living in the backfield, but also showing his chops out in space at linebacker.
And Jerry is noticing Barham's impact.
"Well, he's showing some instinct," Jerry said. "I don't believe there's any question that he can rush that passer and give us some pressure there. But if he's got some instinct behind that line, we've hit a home run."
So, it has been a positive start for Dallas' top three rookies, each making plays and giving the offense headaches at times.
Yes, there will be ups and downs, but on Saturday, there were far more ups from the group, and that has Jerry bullish on what the trio could become in their first year with the Cowboys.
