The Dallas Cowboys made a conscious decision in how they approached their wide receiver room this past offseason. The production, along with the intel gleaned, from the 2026 season showed how powerful the corps is. Between CeeDee Lamb's historical projections and George Pickens scratching the surface of superstardom, the top tier is in place for 2026.

Behind them, the Cowboys didn't see a need to invest heavily into the position, with Ryan Flournoy and Kavontae Turpin already proving to be valuable assets. Dallas did make a pickup, though, drafting East Carolina's Anthony Smith in the seventh round of the draft.

Kenneth Bell's Scouting Report on WR Anthony Smith

Smith is tall, lean, and athletic, primarily functioning as an outside receiver, with only 9% of his plays in the slot. When reviewing his film against NC State, one can observe instances where he excels at tracking the ball. Additionally, he demonstrates impressive body control, allowing him to contort his body to make catches in tight windows or on poorly thrown passes.
