The Dallas Cowboys have a lot of territory to navigate over the course of three days. Beginning next Thursday, April 24, they will add several rookies to the fold, via the 2025 NFL draft an the undrafted free agency signing frenzy that immediately follows on Saturday night. Across those 48 hours, they will need to significantly alter their depth charts at several positions.

The lead up to the draft is almost over. The team went to great extents, the true lengths still unknown, to meet with potential picks and evaluate prospects firsthand. Currently 18 of the allotted 30 national visitors are known, along with 20 names local to the team who made their way to Dallas Day. In this latest mock draft, the focus is on prospects who the Cowboys have a little more knowledge on than just film evaluation and athletic testing.

1.12 WR Matthew Golden, Texas

Golden's shot up draft boards over the last two months, as it's become clear NFL teams have a more favorable view of the speedster than draftniks first anticipated. Recently The Athletic's Dane Brugler ranked Golden his No. 15 overall prospect. One of the Cowboys' 30 national visitors, Golden fits in as the speed-demon compliment to CeeDee Lamb's greatness, resurrecting the Dallas passing offense.

Fluid in and out of his breaks, Golden shows a plan as a route runner — I love his ability to break down corners by keeping his eyes, hips and feet in sync. That coordination also translates to the catch point with his very natural ball skills to track, frame and finish. Overall, it might bother some teams that he doesn’t have better size, but Golden also doesn’t have any glaring flaws to his game that would keep him from becoming a productive pro. He can play inside or outside and become the go-to target for an NFL offense.

2.49: CB Shavon Revel, East Carolina

Trade: Cowboys send 2.44, 6.211 to Cincinnati in order to add a fourth-round pick (2.49, 4.119)

The "Blue Star Special" pick that makes a ton of sense. Yes, there's a huge injury concern that robbed Revel of his season and potential first-round status. He's from a lower-tier competition school, and Dallas is looking closely after he was unable to participate in the pre-draft process, bringing him in for a 30 visit.

Dane Brugler's Scouting Report

3.76: Guard Tate Ratledge, Georgia

The Cowboys have done a good job improving their interior depth at guard, but Ratledge gives them an assured replacement for Zack Martin after the future Hall of Famer's retirement.

4.103: HB Bhayshul Tuten, Virginia Tech

Trade: Cowboys send 4.119, 5.149 to Tennessee for 4.103.

Needing to ensure they get a dynamic ball carrier, the club moves up from their gained fourth rounder by using their fifth rounder to grab the home-run threat Tuten. The third 30-visitor in this mock haul, the Virginia Tech product would be a force multiplier to the Dallas offense.

5.150: DT Ty Robinson, Nebraska

Trade: Cowboys send 5.174, 6.204 to Miami for 5.150.

Getting to this point of the draft without grabbing a defensive tackle would not be ideal, so the Cowboys put two picks together to move up and nab Robinson, who Brugler has a fourth-round grade on.

7.217: HB Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State
