The contract leaves are falling for Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens, and they could be falling rather favorably, too.
With Quinnen Williams signing his new three-year, $105.9 million deal, which has him now tied to Dallas for a total of five years, the next item on the mental menu - even though it can't happen until after the 2026 season - might just be Pickens.

After the Williams signing on Monday there are several breadcrumbs being scattered about from Cowboys' COO Stephen Jones.
Jones made it clear there is a plan for Pickens long-term.
"That's the ultimate goal," Jones said. "So it's just a lot of moving parts that we've got to obviously keep playing option quarterback and we'll see where it takes us."
Then we have what Stephen said with Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports regarding whether it is in the rules of possibility to have so much money tied to Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Pickens.
"Yeah, just you got to tell me the rest [of our spending], too," Jones said. "At some point, you've got to figure that out. But no, I think it's realistic."
Right. So both comments seem to point in a positive direction, but that is more out of hope than anything else.

The goal is to have Pickens long-term, and yes, it is realistic.
And Jones, speaking on SiriusXM, might have made the announcement that could have Cowboys Nation giddy with excitement.
“We don’t think this will be a one-year contract for George," Jones said.
So, the Cowboys clearly have a contract plan in place that could keep Pickens beyond 2026, and that is the headline here, folks.
There is still a lot of water to go under the bridge, but the thought that the 2026 season could be Pickens' last in Dallas might be on the verge of elimination from the list of fans' worries.
Now, we don't know if that is another franchise tag or a long-term extension, but for sure, it appears there is a plan in place for one of Dallas' star players.
