Coventry City's joint top-scorer Brandon Thomas-Asante has been banned for three matches for violent conduct during Monday's 2-1 Championship defeat by Norwich City.
The 27-year-old has been suspended by the Football Association (FA) for an incident shortly before Coventry took the lead at Carrow Road in the 38th minute through Romain Esse.
Thomas-Asante appeared to swing an arm into the face of Norwich's Pelle Mattsson and, although it was not seen at the time by the match officials, it was caught on video.
On review, the FA alleged that Thomas-Asante's actions constituted violent conduct with the player admitting the charge and accepting the standard penalty.
Thomas-Asante will now miss the Sky Blues' home games against Oxford and Middesbrough on 7 and 16 February respectively, as well as the trip to former club West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, 21 February.
The former Baggies forward has scored 10 goals for Frank Lampard's Championship leaders but is currently on a six-game barren spell.
