The Bucs have some needs at pass rusher, that is no secret. What is a secret, though, is how general manager Jason Licht plans to fix it, as we have seen him go to the NFL draft well time and again to no avail. While he has found some good pieces, nothing has come in the way of finding a game-changer.

One of the pieces he has found is Yaya Diaby who has flashed moments of brilliance, but lacks creating them on his own. For a team that leaves him on the proverbial island, he has shown having help makes his life easier as a pass rusher.

But what if the Bucs aren't a fan of that part of his game? Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine wrote up trade assets for every team recently. For the Bucs, Diaby was among the three players mentioned.

Ballentine writes, "YaYa Diaby led the team with seven sacks this year. But that doesn't mean much when the Bucs were 25th in pressure rate despite being fourth in blitz rate. If there's a team that likes the production they've seen, then he might be better off elsewhere as the Bucs try to improve their pass-rush this offseason."

Diaby could have some unqiue value on two fronts. One, he could be a sweetener in a deal for an edge rusher like Maxx Crosby or Jonathan Greenard. Both teams getting back someone relatively young to keep a presence on the edge could be enough to allow the Bucs to keep some extra picks. On the flip side, the Bucs could still trade for either pass rusher mentioned, but Diaby going somewhere else allows them to get some picks back.

Either approach would garner results for the Bucs if they ultimately decide a separation is best for both parties.
