Commanders depth chart updated after Stefon Diggs signs

The Washington Commanders needed a wide receiver. And it felt like it was coming down to two names: The very vocal Brandon Aiyuk or free agent Stefon Diggs, who's coming off of a solid year in New England.

The answer: It was Diggs who received a one-year deal, giving the Commanders a much-needed second option behind Terry McLaurin (although tight end Chig Okonkwko could have a good year in Washington). And if you're here, you might be wondering what the depth chart now looks like.

We have an answer! Here's what it looks like at the moment in terms of skill players for the Commanders:

• QB: Jayden Daniels, Marcus Mariota
• RB: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Rachaad White, Kaytron Allen
• WR: Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown
• WR: Stefon Diggs, Treylon Burks, Van Jefferson

What's next for Brandon Aiyuk after he wasn't traded to the Commanders?​

WR Brandon Aiyuk remans on the #49ers Reserve/Left-Team list, meaning he does not count against their 90-man roster, or salary cap, and he is not being paid.

To be removed from the list, Aiyuk will need to submit a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell seeking reinstatement.
