Commanders' Jayden Daniels in 'love' with David Blough's offense at OTAs originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
There have been some changes this offseason to the Washington Commanders' offense, with the biggest one being Kliff Kingsbury out as OC and David Blough the new guy in Jayden Daniels' ear.
We know that sometimes change can be difficult, and given how the Commanders fared with Kingsbury when Daniels was healthy, moving on was an interesting choice.
But the Commanders are going in a different direction in 2026, and Blough is the one tasked with getting the most out of Jayden as he enters his third NFL season.
And while it might be early in the Blough era for Daniels, it's fair to say he's a fan of what's transpired.
"I love the offense. I love what Blough's doing," Daniels said via NFL.com. "I love how he's creating, designing different things. And we'll go from there, but for me, personally, it's just how can I get better as a football player?"

Does Daniels have enough weapons?
For me, that's an easy no.
Outside of Terry McLaurin, who can be relied upon to consistently make plays? Treylon Burks, Antonio Williams, Dyami Brown, or Luke McCaffrey? Maybe.
Running back isn't much better with Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White as the backs.
So, the Commanders decided not to invest too much in the offense this offseason, instead focusing on the defense, but it's left Daniels with a less-than-supporting case, and for a quarterback entering what some think is a defining year, that is far from ideal.
