The Indianapolis Colts announced that they signed 12 undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL draft. Let's take a closer look at these players and highlight why each could make a potential roster push.
Up next is Duke running back Anderson Castle, who was signed recently by the Colts.
After going undrafted this past April, Castle took part in Colts' rookie minicamp. To make room on the roster for Castle, Indianapolis released Jordon Vaughn.

Anderson Castle's Duke bio
Castle played six seasons in college, spending the first five years at Appalachian State. This past season in the ACC was his most productive. Castle would rush for 488 yards, averaging 4.2 yards per attempt, and found the end zone 12 times.
In the passing game, he had a modest 18 targets last season. Also of note, Castle has ample special teams experience, playing 638 career snaps, most of which came on the kick return, kick coverage, and punt return units.
The second and third spots on the running back depth chart behind Jonathan Taylor are up for grabs. That said, Castle will have to jump a few players to earn a roster spot. Presumably, the backup running back competition will primarily be between DJ Giddens and Seth McGowan -- two recent draft picks. Oftentimes, when it comes to these backup running back roles, the ability to contribute in the passing game, specifically in pass protection, and help on special teams are ways for players to differentiate themselves.
