Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Indianapolis Colts' full 90-man roster, previewing each player.
Up next is tight end Mo Alie-Cox, who wears No. 81.
Alie-Cox has spent his entire career with the Colts, signing with the team in 2017 as an undrafted free agent. This offseason, he signed another one-year deal, this one worth $2.687 million, according to Over the Cap.
Alie-Cox fills a blocking-heavy role within the Colts' offense. According to PFF, 70.5% of Alie-Cox's snaps came as a blocker last season. Out of 46 eligible tight ends in 2025, Alie-Cox ranked 19th in run-blocking grade.
In the passing game, Alie-Cox caught 13-of-19 passes for 117 yards with a touchdown. He was also a regular on special teams, playing 208 snaps.
Alie-Cox has a very defined role on this Colts team, both on offense and on special teams. He'll continue to provide a blocking-first presence as the No. 2 tight end behind Tyler Warren.
Alie-Cox won't always fill up the stat sheet, but his presence is important. While Warren will lead the way, the Shane Steichen offense uses its fair share of two-tight-end sets. And with Warren's do-it-all skill set, those abilities, particularly in the passing game, can be maximized when paired with a stout blocking presence, like Alie-Cox.
