With the 2026 NFL offseason now here for all 32 teams after the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl 60, let's dive into a full seven-round mock draft for the Indianapolis Colts.

Using Pro Football Network's mock draft machine, this mock draft was completely computer-simulated to best take as much of the human element and any biases out of the equation.

So, who did the Colts come away with? Let's break down the selections.

Indianapolis Colts 7-round computer-simulated 2026 NFL mock draft

  • Pick 47: WR Germie Bernard, Alabama
  • Pick 78: LB Jake Golday, Cincinnati
  • Pick 113: DT Domonique Orange, Iowa State

There is certainly a chance that one of Alec Pierce or Michael Pittman won't be on the Colts in 2026. Pierce is a free agent, and Pittman is a cut candidate. So receiver depth will be a need.

However, I also expect at least one of those players to be on the team, so while adding competition here could be on the to-do list, to me, this isn't a position to be investing in at 47th overall.

Linebacker, meanwhile, is a big need with the Colts needing depth and an added coverage presence. But does Golday fill that specific need? One draft analyst isn't so sure.

Orange is listed at 6-4 - 325 pounds and has graded out well as a run defender by PFF's metrics. Getting younger at the defensive tackle position should be on GM Chris Ballard's radar.

  • Pick 154: DE Max Llewellyn, Iowa
  • Pick 189: QB Cole Payton, North Dakota State
  • Pick 253: CB Collin Wright, Stanford

Addressing defensive end should be at the top of the to-do list. In short, more bodies and, more importantly, more pass rush juice is a must here. While the Colts can't control how the board falls, one would hope they tackle this need before pick 154.

At pick 189, the Colts traded up to select Payton, parting with one of their seventh-round picks. Assuming Daniel Jones is back, and Riley Leonard is in Year 2, this feels like an unnecessary selection.

Lastly, the Colts bolster an already strong position group with their final picking taking cornerback Colling Wright.

Taking a 30,000-foot view of this mock, addressing the offensive line and safety were two position groups that could have been addressed but weren't.
