Cardinal Newman offensive lineman Colt Hauser, who helped lead the program to its first FHSAA state championship, committed to NC State on Monday, June 8.
Hauser, a three-star recruit in the Class of 2027, announced his decision in a post to his personal Instagram and X accounts.
He transferred to Cardinal Newman from Jensen Beach prior to the 2025 season and helped the Crusaders put together a dynamic offensive attack led by quarterback Jyron Hughley and running back Phoenix Donghia.
The team cemented their place in West Palm Beach history with an upset win over four-time reigning state champion Chaminade-Madonna in the Class 1A state championship game at Pitbull Stadium in Miami.
He is the son of actor Cole Hauser, who is best known for his work as Rip Wheeler on "Yellowstone" and "Dutton Ranch."
Hauser selected the Wolfpack among 12 total Division I offers according to 247 Sports. The service ranks him as the No. 177 offensive line prospect in Florida. Hauser also holds offers from Power 4 programs like North Carolina, Duke and West Virginia.
